Nebraskans need to be prepared for a variety of hazards including: drought, earthquakes, extreme heat, floods, hazardous materials, tornadoes, terrorist attacks, thunderstorms, lightning, hail, wildfires and winter weather. Emergency preparedness starts with you. We all need to be ready to take care of ourselves, our families and our neighbors should disaster strike.

Preparedness and hazard mitigation can save lives, protect property and lessen impacts of future disasters.
