• Day 1, January 28 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1 hour lunch break)
• Day 2, January 29 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1 hour lunch break)
• Day 3, January 30 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Students must attend all classes units of this course to receive the state certificate.

 Course Overview: CERT basic training covers important basic skills that are valuable to know in a disaster when emergency services are not available. With training and practice, and by working as a team, you will be able to protect yourself and maximize your capability to help the greatest number of people during and after a disaster. 

Participants will learn about:

• Disaster Preparedness

• Team Organization

• Disaster Medical Operations

• Psychological First Aid

• Fire Safety and Utility Controls

• Light Search and Rescue

• Terrorism / Active Killer Events


Audience: Anyone who has a personal or professional interest in strengthening their readiness to respond to a disaster.


Cost: The course is free to attend. Personal expenses (lodging, meals, mileage, or wages) will not be reimbursed. Participants are responsible for obtaining authorization from their employer before registering for this course.
