Student must attend all classes to receive the state certificate.
Course Goal:
The purpose of this course is to identify EOC functions, standards, structures and operations. Additionally, students will demonstrate how to collect, analyze, disseminate, and use data to develop situational awareness during EOC activation and response, as well as how to perform action tracking within an EOC. They will be able to perform the necessary tasks to drive organizational representation within an EOC and represent your EOC organization, support EOC activities, and explain the discipline-specific resource streams. Students will learn to assemble and respond to requests for documents and records within an EOC; create a PTB for tasks associated with situational awareness, action tracking, organizational representation, and document and records management. Students will demonstrate course knowledge and create the proper forms and documentations associated with operations and situational awareness during a cascading incident.
Target Audience:
The audience for this course consists of Federal, State, Local, Tribal, Territorial level, and Private-Sector personnel interested in becoming qualified in EOC Operations and Situational Awareness Skillset tasks.
Required Prerequisites (all must be dated post the March 2019 NIMS revision except G-2300):
IS-100.C: Introduction to the Incident Command System
IS-200 Basic ICS for Initial Response
IS-700.B: An Introduction to the National Incident Management System
IS-800.D: National Response Framework, An Introduction
IS-2200: Basic Emergency Operations Center Functions
IS-2300: Intermediate Emergency Operations Center Functions
Recommended: E/L/G 191 EOC/ ICS Interface
