Course Overview:
This course will teach participants to evaluate future climate change impacts using FEMA's Community Lifelines Toolkit to formulate climate mitigation and adaptation strategies. Participants will learn to utilize FEMA's Community Lifelines Toolkit, web-based tools, and climate models to determine projected impacts on underserved populations and disadvantaged communities. Participants will incorporate a whole community approach to resolving climate impacts.
Target Audience:
Emergency managers, urban planners, state, local, tribal, and territorial government (SLTT) leadership, first responders, community-based organizations, economic development organizations, public health officials, councils of government, public information officers.
Course Scope:
This course equips participants with skills and knowledge to assess future climate change impacts to develop strategies for whole community preparedness and resilience, focusing on underserved populations, using FEMA's Community Lifelines toolkit.
