Two Nebraska Emergency Management Agency staff members earned their certification or green belts in the state’s process improvement program in 2022. Hazard Mitigation Unit Supervisor Chelsea Harris and Watch Center Program Specialist Megan Eckles were unable to attend the Second Annual Center of Operational Excellence Summit to receive their recognition in December because of NEMA’s response to a blizzard across the state. They received their Green Belts in the Lean Six Sigma program on Jan. 11 at NEMA.
