The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will conduct a national test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) with radio, TV, and cable stations on September 27, 2017 (primary date) or October 4, 2017 (secondary date) at 2:20 pm EDT. The test is expected to last approximately one minute and will verify the delivery and broadcast of a national test message and assess the readiness for distribution of a national-level test message.

LINCOLN – The Nebraska National Guard is mobilizing four Nebraska Army National Guard (NANG) helicopters and approximately 100 Soldiers assigned to a NANG aviation battalion in support of the Hurricane Irma relief operations. The mobilizations are in support of an emergency management assistance compact request from Florida to Nebraska.
