Course Description:

This half-day course trains emergency responders to select and use the appropriate instrument for a radiological/nuclear incident. 
Responders will learn the basic operation and application of survey instruments, dosimeters, personal radiation devices, radio-isotope identification devices and portal monitors.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own department’s instruments if possible. This course uses sealed radioactive sources to provide realism.
