Aviation is one of the more complex components of All Hazard response and remains one of the least understood. This academy is designed to immerse the participants in the aspects of being a pilot, running a successful ongoing program and working with other agencies in complex mission sets.
The 2019 Drone Academy was created for those who are looking to take this concept to the next level and are serious about making drone operations as safe and successful as possible. Created by The Blue Cell, LLC, over a decade of experience has gone into its creation and the capstone exercise at the end of the academy. Whether you are a one person show at your agency, a member of the Command and General Staff on an All-Hazards (AH) Incident Management Team (IMT) or an administrator of an agency that is utilizing unmanned aircraft and would like to know more about using unmanned aircraft on day to day emergency operations, this academy will share a substantial amount of imformation.
Additional target groups are those in special operations units ( police or fire), public works personnel, logistics personnel, day to day aerial managers, emergency managers working consequence issues and damage assessment, and mapping and support personnel.
